I bought my first rental house in 1991 and have been a real estate owner / investor ever since. I've closed enough of my own deals that my experience will make working with yours much easier. In 2001 I obtained my Arizona Salesperson's License, became a REALTOR®, and went to work with Santana REALTORS®. Since then I have also been teaching pre-licensing classes for the Hogan School of Real Estate as well.
I am focused both on helping individuals sell their homes or residential income properties, and on helping others buy residences or residential income properties. I am very attentive to the needs of my clients, and have an enormous amount of experience and ability in negotiation.
So, should you hire an agent? Well, if you're buying it's almost a no-brainer. The seller pays the commission, so using an agent just makes your life easier and doesn't cost you anything. For sellers, though, you have to consider whether paying a percentage of your sales price to the brokers involved in finding a buyer and making the deal happen is worth it. While I tend to be biased a bit, I'd be happy to have a direct and open conversation about both the costs and the benefits. If it turns out I'm not the best choice to help you, I'll be the first to acknowledge that and will be happy to help find someone that is.
One of the benefits of working with a REALTOR® is full access to all of the data and services on the MLS (multiple listing service). I have links above for access, but whether you're buying and want to have more detailed information and have me handle doing the searches, or selling and would like to look at comparable market data from recent sales and listings, hiring a REALTOR® provides access to a lot more information and tools to help you.
